Expert review and registration of the Russian chemical safety data sheet (SDS)

The Russian Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is a mandatory component of the technical documentation for chemical products (substances, mixtures, materials, and industrial waste). It is intended to provide users with accurate information on the safe industrial handling, storage, transport and disposal of chemical products, as well as their use for household purposes.

 A SDS is developed for any chemical product, including but not limited to the following categories: household chemicals, paints and coatings, pesticides and agrochemicals, explosives, oils and cutting fluids, petroleum products, minerals, extracts and natural material derivatives, basic chemical substances and mixtures, and other types.

 The organization (or individual) responsible for placing chemical products on the market (manufacturer, supplier, importer, or seller) is obligated to provide the consumer with a SDS free of charge.

 We carry out expert review of the Russian chemical SDS – an independent assessment of the SDS quality and compliance with the requirements of GOST 30333-2007 «Safety Data Sheet for Chemical Products. General Requirements» and Standardization Recommendations R 50.1.102-2014 «Preparation and Formatting of Safety Data Sheets for Chemical Products», followed by registration in the «Register of Safety Data Sheets of the Russian Federation and CIS Countries».

The CIS Center carries out expert review and registration of the Russian SDS and maintains the «Register of Safety Data Sheets of the Russian Federation and CIS Countries» (State Registration Certificate No. 2018670022) pursuant to Rosstandart Order No. 963 dated June 11, 2014.
