About STEX-IC
Founded in 2016, the Shanghai Technology Exchange Centre (STEX-IC, registered name is Shanghai Technology Exchange Cross-border Technology Trade Center Ltd.) dedicated to driving strategic and sustainable growth in international innovation cooperation.
Located in China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Lin-gang Special Area (“Area”), it enjoys the local strategic opening regimes and mechanisms, namely “Five Freedom and One convenience”. That includes freedom for investment, trade, capital, transportation, employment as well as rapid information access and communications.
Three dimensions
Service system: Integrates Chinese and global technical resources and technology transfer channels, build a cross-border technology trade service system and gather global scientific and technological achievements
Functional system: Carry out pilot projects to facilitate the flow of cross border innovative elements and provide comprehensive, one-stop transaction services to participants in cross-border technology transactions
Facilitation system: demonstrated seamless global innovation collaborations by offering an international innovation facilitation system carrying the functions of offshore services to cross border R&D, incubation as well as tech transformation and industrialisation.
Highlighted advantages
Based in the “Area”, STEX-IC serves as a hub for high-value innovation resources from the Yangtze River Delta Region and across China. Leveraging a range of local beneficial policies, it enhances international innovation collaboration through the following key value-added functions:
· Policy innovation: pioneering policy innovation initiatives aimed to addressing specific issues of international innovation cooperation;
· Global tech e-market platform: where tech “sellers” and “buyers” can meet, negotiate and arrange the payments via secure e-commerce platform;
